The theory of barbering covers topics such as understanding face shapes, selecting the right haircut, mastering grooming techniques, using the right product, and using essential tools.

This course provides a practical application of barber-styling fundamentals. Emphasis is placed on safety, infection control, the use and care of implements, hair treatment, and razor shaving. 

There's only one thing standing between you and your new career as a barber: your state Board Exam. In Virginia, you must clear both the practical and written test.
